Present tube-packaged SMD components directly at the 4PLACE workstation for manual Pick & Place.
The MIPEC Stick Feeder Block is a modular accessory designed for the 4PLACE SMD manipulator. It holds component sticks in a defined position at the workstation, allowing components to be accessed directly with the vacuum pickup head during manual PCB assembly.
The feeder is available in two variants according to the component stick format: a version for five SO8 sticks and a version for five SO16 sticks.
Organized Component Presentation
During manual PCB assembly, component presentation is an important part of an efficient Pick & Place workflow. Components need to remain accessible while the operator moves between component pickup and PCB placement.
The Stick Feeder Block positions up to five component sticks directly at the 4PLACE workstation, reducing the need to repeatedly handle individual component packaging during assembly.
Components can then be picked directly from the stick using the vacuum pickup head of the 4PLACE manipulator.

Two Feeder Variants
The Stick Feeder Block is available in two versions. Each version is designed around a specific component stick format.
The 5 × SO8 variant provides five positions for SO8 component sticks.
The 5 × SO16 variant provides five positions for SO16 component sticks.

It extends the workstation with organized component presentation for stick-packaged devices while the 4PLACE provides vacuum pickup, guided movement, component rotation and vision-assisted placement.

For SMD components supplied in carrier tape, the 4PLACE workstation can also be configured with the optional Tape Feeder Block.

Manual SMD Component Placement
